Alex Smith QB-49ERS: He has been quiet good since taking over for Shaun Hill, and should be a must add this week against the Titans, who are the league's worst pass defense. I think him and Michael Crabtree are good plays this week, and should both be added.
Jeremy Maclin WR-EAGLES: He had a decent game last week, catching 4 passes for 47 yards and a TD. I like this week's matchup against an overrated Cowboys defense, in a game that should be a shootout. He's a good WR3 or flex play for this week.
Laurence Maroney RB-PATRIOTS: Fred Taylor and Sammy Morris are still out, which means Maroney will get the lion's share of the carries for another week.
Ryan Moats RB -TEXANS: With "Fumbles Slaton" finally getting benched, Moats took full advantage and ran for 126 yards and 3 TD's [granted, against a weak run defense] . The Texans will likely give him more chances to take over for the inconsistent Slaton, and he should be added in most leagues (or if you need a rb or bye week fill in)
Jamaal Charles RB-CHIEFS: Larry Johnson has been suspended for at least this week, which means Charles finally gets his shot. He has been pretty good in limited action this year, but with Johnson on the decline, and the Chiefs at 1-6, he will get every opportunity to win this job outright.
Fred Davis TE-REDSKINS: Chris Cooley is out for at least the next 4 weeks, and Davis took full advantage by catching 8 passes for 78 yards and a TD. If you need a bye week fill in, this is probably the best free agent tight end out there.

Think its a good idea just to dump cooley & pick up Davis? Even if he comes back in 4 weeks, he cant be 100% from ankle surgery! In my league we can play 4 WR and/or TE. My WRs are Garcon, Henderson, & holmes. TEs are Celek, Davis, & cooley. Ive been on a nice losing streak seeing how the rest of my team consists of RBs Gore, Sproles, RBush & LJ (idiot.) And Arizona defense pretty much put the nail in my coffin for week 8. I have to try and muster up some points and even win something. My division is giving me dirty looks because Im dragging them down. Plus the losing division has to buy the beer for the playoff draft! ha! and these people are drinkers! Hope all is well with the baby!

ReplyDeleteI think since you only need 1 TE, stick with Davis and Celek, and drop Cooley for a WR [I agree with you, it was initially thought that he would miss the whole year, and even if he does come back in 4 weeks, with Davis and Celek I think you will be fine]
Is Jamaal Charles available in your league? he is a good handcuff to LJ AKA "IDIOT"
I think you should add some WR's and RB depth ASAP
