Eli Manning QB- GIANTS: The Giants are playing the worst pass defense, who also happen to be one of the best run defense's, so logic is they will pass alot in this game, which should bode well for Manning, after a disappointing week 6. This game could be a shootout, with 2 very high powered offense's, so start Eli with confidence.
Miles Austin WR- COWBOYS: Tony Romo's new favorite target should see alot of passes come his way against Atlanta's hurt secondary . He has surpassed Roy Williams and Patrick Crayton in the depth chart, and should be a great WR3 or flex play. If by some miracle [or stupidity] he's still available in your league, grab him.
Austin Collie WR- COLTS: He has looked really good as Manning's slot reciever, and with Anthony Gonzalez still nursing an injury, he should have plenty of touches against St Louis. I also like Pierre Garcon in this matchup, which should see Manning get his 6th straight 300 yard game.
Thomas Jones RB- JETS: The Raiders are allowing alot of rushing TD's...and Jones gets all the goal line carries, so he will probably get a score or two.
Laurence Maroney RB- PATRIOTS: He has a good matchup against the Bucs, and with Taylor and Morris hurt, it's his show for now.
Larry Johnson RB- CHIEFS: I don't like him, but love his matchup against the Chargers, who have allowed the second most fantasy points to RB's. In a week with 6 teams on bye's, I think he's a good gamble this week.
Jermichael Finley TE-PACKERS: Different week, same name. A big, physical tight end with good hands and a great matchup...what's not to love?
New York Jets defense: You gotta love any team that plays the Raiders. Even though they have lost 3 straight, it hasn't been the defense's fault. This is the same defense that limited New England to 9 points in week 2.

I liked your advice with my D so I decided to ask another question. You have good research that not a lot of people look into. Here is my question...
ReplyDeleteWhite vs Dallas
or
Smith (NYG) vs Arizona
I did a little research to see who was better but I would like another perspective. White is projected 12 and Smith 9 in my Yahoo league. Smith has better stats on the road then White has. White is decent stats for indoor games, but Smith has good stats for grass. What do you think? Who should I start?
Kurtis
with chris johnson on a bye, i need to pick up a RB. i picked up maroney but stewart is still availabe, which one would you go with in week 7?
ReplyDeleteFinley or Celek?
ReplyDeleteHines Wards vs Min
ReplyDeleteSteven Jackson vs Ind
Laurence Maroney vs TB
which of the two to start?
Kurtis...
ReplyDeleteSmith is going up against one of the worst pass defense's in the league, so he seems like the automatic start...but also have in mind that Hakeem Nicks and Domenik Hixon are now getting into the mix. While Smith is still clearly the #1 in New York, its a bit more muddled up now. Meanwhile, after having a slow first 3 weeks, it seems like White and Matt Ryan are finally getting on the same page...and also, the Cowboys don't exactly have the best secondary in the league either. I think White will be heavily targeted in a game that could be a shootout also. My gut is Roddy White has a big game, but I also think Smith has a good game...so it's a roll of the dice.
You dont have a flex option for one of them? Because I think both of them could be top 10 wr plays this week.

ReplyDeleteI like Finley this week against the Browns...
I saw the Packers games and it's clear they are getting him more involved in that offense... and when the pocket breaks down [which is often with the Packers], Rodgers looks for his tight ends. I think Finley will have about 60 yards and TD this week.
Greenbay D or Vikings D?
ReplyDeleteKen...
ReplyDeleteThe pack for sure...
They're facing the Browns...while the Vikes are playing the Steelers...so thats a no brainer.
The Ultimate Lineup,
ReplyDeleteEither White or Smith will be my #3 receiver this week. My number 1 and 2 are... R. Moss and Colston. My flex right now is Addai because he is going against STL and well enough said there. Do you think I should consider starting both White and Smith? What about this... My RB's are Peterson and Benson. Should one of them sit to make room for Addai so I can put both White and Smith on my line up or should Addai sit so they both can start? Or just White or Smith start?

ReplyDeletewow...looks like you'll win either way :)
I think I may start Smith/White ahead of Addai...
He's had an average of 11 carries the past 4 weeks, and even though the Rams are giving up over 130 yards a game, I think Smith/White will have a better game then him. Donald Brown is also taking carries from him, and with the game being over by halftime, I don't think the Colts will want to risk injury with him when they're up 34-0.
Meanwhile ,the Giants/Cards game should be a shootout, so Smith could get alot of receptions as the Cards are allowing alot of passing scores. The Falcons/Cowboys game should also be a shootout, and the Cowboys don't have a good secondary, so White should have another good game.
dang thats some good research
ReplyDeleteIfiliam..
ReplyDeleteI'd start Maroney and Ward...
I dont think Jackson is such a good start becuase the Rams have no other viable offense besides for him, so Indy will stack the line to stop him.

ReplyDelete[regarding whether to start Maroney or pick up Stewart] I think you roll with Maroney. Tampa Bay is not very good against the run, so Maroney should have a great day. This is the same defense that gave up 262 rushing yards with 3 scores last week.
Should I start Jennings, Manningham, or Collie for WR in week 7? Thanks for the help in a bind.
ReplyDeleteNO or Buffalo D?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous...
ReplyDeleteI'd start Jennings...I think it's about time he has a good game, and it should come against a weak secondary like Cleveland.

ReplyDeleteI'd start the Saints against Miami. Chad Henne doesn't really have a receiving corp, so I think the Saints stack the line against Brown/Williams.
The Bills matchup does look a bit tantalizing with "interception friendly" Jake Delhomme, but I'd still roll with the Saints.
schaub vs sf
ReplyDeleteor
bress vs mia?
Max
ReplyDeletePick 3 please thx
andrew cardwell wr
lee evans wr
jonny knox wr
massaqiu wr clev
garcon wr
Mendenhall, Donald Brown, Ricky Williams, which two are likely to score the highest fantasy points today? Thanks
ReplyDeleteIfilam...
ReplyDeleteSafe pick goes with Brees...but I have a feeling Schaub lights it up yet again. Truth is, both should have good games of over 300 yards/2 TD's.
Anonymous...
ReplyDeleteKnox-should have a decent game
Massaqoui- He is facing 2 excellent corners in Harris and Woodson...but I think the Browns will be down early and have to throw, so he will get you some catches with a possible score.
Garcon- ST. Louis can't cover anybody...so why should he be any different?
Anonymous...
ReplyDeleteI'd start Brown because I think the Colts will play him in the second half and not risk injuring Addai. I think he has a decent week
Mendenhall...I like Williams more this week, but the Saints may put up alot of points, and the 'Fins will have to abandon the run. I'm only listing Mendenhall because I think he gets a TD, but don't expect alot...maybe 50-60 total yards a TD.
HI
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to thank you for taking time to really answer the questions i really appreciate it man you are the real "expert" good job
bye week desperation, which 3?
ReplyDeleteCrabtree, Mike Wallace, P Garcon, BJ Green-Ellis
Anonymous...
ReplyDeletewow, that is some desperation...go with these hail mary's:
Wallace:wr3 for the Steelers against an opponent that is great against the run, but average against the pass [ and even more average with Antoine Winfield out], so he should have a nice game.
Garcon: The Rams wont be able to stop Manning picking them apart, and I think he gets a score in this one.
Crabtree:...I don't like BJGE, and Crabtree has had a few weeks to get the plays down...He could be feast or famine in his first game, but with his skills set, he may have a good game.
ryan grant or marshawn and eli manning or kyle orton who should I start. Thanks
