ADD 'EM WEEK 7

Here's this week's add 'em's:

Mohamed Massaquoi WR-BROWNS:
Still only 19% owned in Yahoo leagues. Massaquoi had 5 catches for 83 yards against Pittsburgh. He's Derek Anderson's only viable recieving option, so he could get alot of catches. He seems to have more chemistry with Anderson than Brady Quinn, so the QB switch should benefit him. With Braylon Edwards gone to the Jets, and the Browns likely to be behind in most games, he should put up some good numbers. He will be especially valuable in weeks 15-17 when he faces the Chiefs , Raiders and the Jaguars.

Mike Wallace WR- STEELERS: Wallace had 71 total yards in week 6 against the Browns. He is fast becoming one of Roethlisberger's favourite targets, and I think he's a good add in deep leagues or as a flex play.

Lance Moore WR- SAINTS: He was injured for awhile, but finally came up big against the Giants with 6 catches for 78 yards and a TD. Drew Brees looked his way often, and will continue to do so now that he is healthy. Have in mind that last year he had 928 yards recieving with 10 TD's.

Michael Crabtree WR- 49ers: He's going to start this week opposite Isaac Bruce against Houston, so if you need a bye week fill in, you may want to take a flier on him.

Hakeem Nicks WR- GIANTS: 32% owned in Yahoo leagues. Nicks is improving with each passing week, and has better hands then Mario Manningham. He had 114 yards receiving with a TD against the Saints. With corners concentrating on Steve Smith and Manningham, Nicks could have alot of touches in the coming weeks, especially this week against Arizona. If he's available in your league , add him!!

Jermichael Finley TE- PACKERS: If you need a good TE, grab this guy! a tall reciever with good hands and great speed, he is one of the Packers biggest threats, and is continuing to improve. With defenses zero-ing in on Jennings and Driver, and with the Packers O-line a mess, you could see Rodgers dumping it off to Finley often.

  2. TJ...

I was thinking of adding Scheffler. But he has a bye week this week , followed by games against Baltimore and Pittsburgh. He had an amazing game, and it was good to see him finally turn it on after a disappointing start to the season. I think he's a good add...but not this week.

As for Royal...he had 2 return TD's, which is nice... but that's it...he didn't have ANY receptions, which is worrying. I hope he starts to turn it on , but I don't see it happening any time soon.

  4. Juwan...

Wallace would've been a good add 3 weeks ago...but he's on a bye too ( 6 teams are on a bye this week ) the only viable option in deep leagues is either Matt Moore ( and hope that Jake Delhomme will be benched ) or the better option is Julian Edelman.

He's a wr for the Patriots, but qualifies at QB also. He's a decent add because the Pats released Joey Galloway, so he's their #3 now.
The Pats play the Bucs this week, so he should be good ( last week he had 6 catches for 43 yards )

If he isn't available, take a flier on either Mike Vick or David Carr

  7. The Giants play Arizona...so that game should be a shootout like last week against New Orleans.
Carolina plays Buffalo, which is pretty good...but not like New England's matchup against Tampa Bay!!
The Pats shut out Chris Johnson and co. last week, and should do the same against a team that's struggling ( and with a rookie qb ), therefore I think New England is a no brainer.

  8. New to your blog, love what I am seeing. Just got a quick question.
Minnesota D or New Orleans D for week 7?
Thanks for talking the time to help out others!

Minnesota is playing Pittsburgh, which probably wont be pretty defensively...
The Saints are playing Miami err....the wildcat.
I like this matchup better, as Miami is one dimensional with the running game (Henne doesn't really have any GOOD WR weapons).

Have in mind that the Saints limited the Giants rushing attack to 84 total rushing yards last week, so I think this is a better play this week.

  14. Shigetoshi....

For sure... Thats a huge upgrade

  15. Ifilam...

qb- start Schaub... He's been insanely good this year, and since the Texans cant count on Slaton, they look to pass even more. He should be able to put up over 300 yards with 2 or 3 scores.
    wr-Vincent Jackson
    wr-Reggie Wayne
wr-Hines Ward...He's been good over the past 3 weeks, and have in mind that Minnesota is very good against thr run, but average against the pass, and that Roethlisberger will have to pass alot in this game...all this bodes well for Ward
    rb- Steven Jackson
rb- Joseph Addai... He hasn't really lived up to expectations, but does have TD's in the past 2 games... He's a better start[and safer] then Stewart.
w/r- Hakeem Nicks...He's playing Arizona, which should be a shootout, and Arizona is the WORST pass defense in the league...so look for Eli to look for him deep.
    te- Tony Gonzalez

Regarding the trade, you're getting Rice, right?
if so, thats a good trade and should really help you in coming weeks [have in mind he has a bye this week]

  16. Juwan Wheeler...

Edelman broke his hand and is out for awhile...
another qb that might be available in such a league is Brain Hoyer, who may get a chance to play against the Bucs.

  17. I only have 2 WR spots hines ward, reggie wayne and vincent jackson. which 2 of the 3 should i start

  18. Ifilam...

Wayne against St Louis [after a bye] is a must start.
I'd start Ward over Jackson...mostly because Minnesota is a good run defense, but an average pass defense. This game could also be a shootout like last week, and I think Ward should have a great game.
I'd then put Jackson at w/rb instead of Nicks
