START 'EM WEEK 8

Aaron Rodgers QB-VIKINGS: This pick may surprise alot, especially after he was thrown around like a ragdoll in week 4 against the Vikings, but he did also throw for 384 yards and 2 TD's.
LT Chad Clifton is back to protect Rodgers against Jared Allen ( who had 4.5 sacks in that game). Another footnote from last week's game against the Browns, is that the Packers didn't allow any sacks, which is hopefully a step in the right direction. Vikings CB Antoine Winfield will sit out another game, further hindering the Vikings secondary. I think Rodgers gets over 300 yards with 2 or 3 scores, and more importantly the Win.

David Garrard QB -JAGUARS: He should be well rested after the bye... not that he will need it against the Titans awful secondary. He burned them for 323 yards and 3 TD's the last time they played, and it should be more of the same this week.

Miles Austin WR- COWBOYS: He's clearly the man in Dallas, having had 421 yards receiving with 4 Td's in the past 2 weeks...will he continue to average 200 yards a game? not likely...but 120 yards and a score look certain. [btw...to the 8% in who's leagues this guy is not owned...GRAB HIM]

Mike Sims-Walker WR-JAGUARS: Another good matchup for Sims-Walker, who should have no trouble beating the Titans...Torry Holt is also a pretty decent start as a flex play.

Steven Jackson RB-RAMS: He has yet to find the endzone this year...but that should change against the Lions. He is basically the only talent on offense for the Rams, who will have to utilize him more frequently...I think he goes for 150 total yards and a score.

Thomas Jones RB-JETS: With Leon Washington out for the year, Jones becomes a must start for the run heavy Jets. He has 331 rushing yards the past 2 weeks, and should have a good game against Miami.

LaDainian Tomlinson RB-CHARGERS: You have to love his matchup against the Raiders, who have allowed the second most points to running backs. He has lost a step, and doesn't run with the same authority he used to...but against the Raiders, that doesn't really matter.

San Diego Chargers defense: The latest team lucky enough to play the Raiders. JaMarcus Russell still can't throw...Darius Heyward-Bey still cant catch, and Darren Mcfadden is still injured....enjoy

  2. I don't like Grant's matchup. The Vikings are excellent against the run, while the Texans have given up the most rushing TD's to running backs, so start Lynch with confidence.
Regarding the qb's, I think you go with Orton. The Ravens defense is really overrated, and Orton should have a decent game.

  3. Like the column...I can start 3 and do not really have a need to trade right now.

AP, Frank Gore, Thomas Jones, or Michael Turner at NO?

  4. Well...It's always good to be able to play the matchup card, when you have 4 good rb's.
I think you start Turner and Jones...(yes i know the sacrilege of sitting AP...but he didn't really do much the last time they met...and that was at home. Since then, this defense has gotten healthier and better, and should be able to limit him once again , it's not that I don't like his matchup, I just think Jones and Turner have better games.

Jones will get more carries with Washington out, and Turner will get more carries with Jerious Norwood out...both of their teams will rely on them to win the game.

  5. I HAVE to play two RBs. Right now I have Sproles playing. LJ is on a bye, as if that matters. So only 2 left are Gore or R.Bush. Thanks :)

  6. Melizza...

Gore is going up against an average run defense, and should have a decent game this week...Bush is just getting more and more tuned out of this offense, so I'd stay away from him.
